Hunting season variations
The Seasons for animals vary everywhere and in every state they are different but in Kentucky I can tell you that White tail deer is in the fall and lasts for two weeks, turkey lasts for about a month and starts in the spring. The animals in Africa are most of the time considered predators and are killed at will because they injury and kill the people in the villages nearby (excluding the buffalo).
Though hunting seasons vary in all states it is true that gun season is most of the time shorter than bow season because bow season is way more of a challenge because you can normally shoot a deer from 150-200 yards at most with a gun but with a bow you can only shoot from at most 50-60 yards.
Hunting Locations
White tail deer are mostly found in the eastern part of the United states but can be found in the western parts of the United states but they are not as plentiful as back east. Elk is located in the Rockies and some is Arizona and Mexico. Bear location varies; Black bears are located east in Tennessee and some in Alabama, while on the other hand Brown bears are located in the west and north such as Montana and Canada.
The others such as dove and the others (excluding the ones from Africa) are located everywhere throughout America. But although they are located they are not the same type of animal, here is an example; a rabbit in the east such as Kentucky is called a cotton tail rabbit, while in Arizona they are called Jackrabbits, and jack rabbits usually have really big ears compared to cotton tale’s ears.
Popular animals to hunt
The most popular animal to hunt in America currently is the white tail deer, then turkey, then bear, then lastly elk. In Africa there are 6 top animals to hunt and they are; African elephant, Black rhinoceros’, Cape buffalos, Lions, and lastly Leopards.
There are plenty of other animals to hunt such as; Rams, dove, rabbits, Hogs and even alligators. Through the years hunting has been changed a bit to preserve them and keep them from going extinct. Seasons and restrictions have been put down to keep hunting possible because without these laws the animals might just go extinct because of how heavily they are hunted.
